For family caregivers
Lupine Care is a nonprofit for family caregivers navigating serious illness, anticipatory grief, and bereavement. We're building a free app, support groups, daily meditation, and a community of people who understand what you're carrying. We're not open yet. Add your email and we'll reach out as each piece comes online.
No spam. Just one note when there's a place for you.
What we're building
The exhaustion of caregiving deserves more than one kind of support. Lupine Care is building tools, community, and rest, opening through 2026 as licensure and programs come online. Join the waitlist to know when each one is ready.
The app, free Coming soon
Organize your loved one's medical life so the next crisis doesn't catch you off guard. ER profile, medication list, care team contacts, visit log, family sharing. Shareable as a PDF when you walk into the hospital.
Groups & meditation Coming soon
Weekly virtual groups facilitated by trained mental health professionals — not therapy, something more sustained — plus a daily forty-minute meditation on Zoom at lunch. A place where what you're carrying doesn't need to be explained. Drop in any day. No experience needed.
Weekly notes Coming soon
Somebody Has To, our weekly Substack, writes plainly about caregiving, grief, and the parts that don't make it into self-care articles. Free. No advice. Just honesty.
The framework
The exhaustion you feel isn't a failure of willpower. It's a biological signal. Caring for someone you love over months and years depletes the body's repair systems. The chemistry of connection, attunement, and rest. Your nervous system, doing its job, has been doing too much of it for too long.
The standard advice (ask for help, practice self-care) isn't wrong. It's just incomplete. You can't care for a self that has gradually disappeared into someone else's needs.
Our work is grounded in what we call the Compassionate Presence framework. A way of understanding caregiver depletion as a depletion of the body's connection chemistry, and a way of slowly restoring what's been spent. It informs the groups, the meditations, and everything we write.
Who this is for
You're not here because someone made you come. You're here because what you're carrying deserves more than endurance.
Partner with us
Lupine Care collaborates with hospitals, hospice organizations, clinicians in private practice, and community partners who serve families navigating serious illness. We're a referral destination for caregivers whose needs fall outside what individual therapy or medical care can hold.
If you're a clinician interested in referring caregivers, joining a Lupine Care group as a facilitator, or partnering with us in another way, we'd love to hear from you.

Our programs are free or sliding-scale because caregivers shouldn't have to be able to afford support to receive it. Lupine Care is funded by foundations, individual donors, and partner organizations who believe the same.
If you'd like to support this work, or learn more about how Lupine Care is funded and governed, we'd be glad to be in conversation.
